New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has dismissed an assistant section officer (ASO) of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for his role in a fraudulent land allotment in Safdarjung Enclave, officials said. The case, dating back to 2020, had earlier led to the dismissal of an assistant director (AD). Saxena has also asked the DDA to review penalties for a retired deputy director (DD). The allotment, originally recommended in 1979, was executed in 2021 based on forged documents. Disciplinary proceedings found the officers ignored verification procedures and prior alerts on fraudulent cases, suggesting collusion for personal gain.
