India, July 12 -- Indian-American billionaire Vinod Khosla is making headlines after the Khosla family agreed to buy the Seattle Seahawks, the defending Super Bowl champions. The deal is worth $9.6 billion, making it the most expensive sale of an NFL team and one of the biggest sports team control transactions ever.

The Seattle Seahawks were earlier owned by the Estate of Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen, which confirmed that it had reached an agreement to sell the team to the Khosla family.
