India, Aug. 31 -- Keenan Allen, a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts, was apprehended early Sunday morning in Indianapolis on initial misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and driving under the influence while posing a risk to others, as reported by law enforcement and Marion County jail records.

At approximately 1 a.m., Allen, 34, was taken into custody after officers, who were looking into a parking infraction, discovered his vehicle parked in a no-parking area and noted indications of intoxication.

The arrest occurred just hours after Allen participated in his preseason debut with Indianapolis, which resulted in a 25-16 defeat against the Detroit Lions on Saturday.
