Srinagar, Aug. 15 -- Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said that threats to employees from the minority community should be taken very seriously.

Omar was referring to recent threats to Kashmiri Pandit employees in the Valley by a terrorist group, TRF, which is seen as a shadow outfit of Lashkar-e-Taiba. After the killing of two non-local labourers in Kulgam earlier this month, threat letters appeared on social media, specifically naming some Kashmiri Pandit employees working under the PM package.

The CM said that from time to time they hear that militancy has ended in Kashmir. "Then who is issuing these threats? Those responsible for security should not take these threats lightly," he said.
