New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) on Friday organised a "freedom march" from Ganga Dhaba to Sabarmati Dhaba, expressing solidarity with student activist Sharjeel Imam, former Jawaharlal Nehru University scholar Umar Khalid, and others jailed in the 2020 Delhi riots conspiracy case. The march came on the same day when the Supreme Court adjourned by a week the hearing on their bail pleas. Several relatives of the accused, including Khalid's father, participated in the protest.
