New Delhi, Feb. 7 -- A day after the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) admitted a rare class action lawsuit against manufacturing major Jindal Poly Films, the company on Friday moved the NCLAT challenging the order. Senior counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who appeared for Jindal Poly Films, sought an urgent hearing of the appeal before a bench of National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) chairperson Justice Ashok Bhushan and technical member Barun Mitra. Singhvi told the NCLAT that the case involved a rare class action suit initiated under Section 245 of the Companies Act, by the minority shareholders of a notable company.
