India, Aug. 22 -- Jaxson Dart was briefly evaluated for a concussion vs the New England Patriots on Thursday after his fumble resulted in a minor fall. The New York Giants quarterback, who is among the most exciting rookies this year, however, soon returned after clearing all checks. Eventually, the team decided to sub him out and hand Jameis Winston the ball.
The Giants were leading in the first quarter when, on a fourth down, Dart tried to scramble. He fumbled the ball, which luckily was negated by a defensive hold. However, the quarterback was removed from the game.
Dart had already completed 6 of 12 pases for 81 yards, including a 50-yard gain to Gunner Olszewski and a TD toss to Greg Dulcich.
