New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has told the National Green Tribunal that shutting down a dhalao (garbage collection point) in Jangpura A would be "counter productive, environmentally unsound, and contrary to the object of the Solid Waste Management Rules", warning of waste management disruption. In a February 3 submission, the MCD said this dhalao is a critical secondary collection point serving Jangpura A, Jangpura Extension and Bhogal, noting three other local dhalaos are already closed.
