India, June 5 -- The son of the girlfriend of actor James Handy has been arrested in connection with his death, as per law enforcement officials.

The Top Gun: Maverick actor, 81, discovered unresponsive and with a stab wound to his chest on Wednesday morning outside the residence in Tarzana. He was transported to the hospital and later declared dead.

Law enforcement officials arrived at a residence on Wednesday morning following a 911 call in which the caller stated, "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin," according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
