India, Aug. 19 -- A fast-moving wildfire near Cle Elum, Washington, has spread across both sides of Interstate 90, prompting a full closure of the highway around 4 p.m. on Monday, according to KIMA Action News.
The fire, which is burning trees and vegetation, has jumped I-90 and is now affecting areas on both the north and south sides of the roadway.
While no evacuation orders have been issued at this time, residents report that smoke is visible from the nearby city of Roslyn.
Authorities said multiple fires are burning along I-90 between mileposts 72 and 84. Fire crews from various departments are actively working to contain the blazes with the help of bulldozers and aerial support.
