New Delhi, Jan. 7 -- Indian languages have endured centuries of historical disruptions while continuing to shape the country's civilisation, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Tuesday and asserted that promotion of Indian and classical languages is a priority of the government.
Pradhan was addressing an event in the national capital where he released 41 literary works developed by the Centres of Excellence for Classical Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Odia. He also released 13 books along with a 45-episode Sign Language interpretation series of the Tirukkural by the Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT).
