India, Aug. 1 -- Ankush Panghal, Sachin Siwach, Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas and Arundhati Chaudhary capped off a sensational Commonwealth Games 2026 campaign by winning the gold medal on Saturday. While Sachin won gold in the men's 60kg category by a 3-2 split decision against T.M Ndevelo of Namibia, Ankush (80kg) won the top prize after a commanding 4-1 split decision win over England's D Shittu, the 2025 World Boxing Cup gold medallist. In the 23rd edition of the CWG, India returned with seven golds and two silver, marking the Indian boxing contingent's best-ever performance.
