India, Aug. 13 -- The Indian automobile industry has registered its best-ever July wholesale performance in the domestic market this year. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has revealed that passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers have recorded double-digit growth in July 2026.

Passenger vehicles registered 34.3% year-on-year (YoY) wholesale growth in the Indian domestic market with 457,810 units, as compared to 340,772 units recorded in the same month a year ago. Two-wheelers clocked 19,23,483 units in the domestic market last month, marking a 2.6% YoY growth over 15,69,120 units recorded in the corresponding month a year ago.
