New Delhi, July 15 -- India Post recorded revenue of Rs.4,009 crore in the first quarter of FY27, its highest-ever first-quarter revenue and a 22% increase from the corresponding period last year which was at Rs.3,280 crore, the communications ministry said on Tuesday. The department achieved 81% of its Q1 revenue target of Rs.4,951 crore. It has set an annual revenue target of Rs.19,803 crore for FY27. The performance was reviewed at the department of posts' quarterly business review meeting at Vigyan Bhawan, chaired by communications minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and attended by minister of state Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani and heads of postal circles.
