India, Aug. 24 -- In yet another chilling murder by a spouse, a man allegedly killed his pregnant wife and cut her body into pieces at their home in Telangana's Medipally, part of the Hyderabad metropolitan region.

The 22-year-old victim, Swathi alias Jyothi, was married to Mahender Reddy and the couple resided in Boduppal, Medipally, in the suburbs of Hyderabad, a report in Telangana Today said.

Some of the body parts were found in the house, while others were thrown in the Musi river, news agency PTI quoted police officials as saying.

The accused on Saturday night confessed to a relative, who informed the police. The local police then reached the spot and took Mahender into custody.
