Hyderabad court sentences 9, including 8 Bangladeshis, to life in trafficking case
Hyderabad, Sept. 18 -- A special court in Hyderabad has sentenced nine people, including eight Bangladeshi nationals, to life imprisonment for their involvement in a 2019 human trafficking case in which Bangladeshi women were brought to India on the promise of jobs and forced into prostitution, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said on Friday.
The nine persons convicted in the case were identified as Ruhul Amin Dhali, Mohd Yousuf Khan alias Md Imran, Bithi Begum alias Khadija Shaik, Imamul Ghazi alias Mohd Rana Hussain, Mohammed Al Mamun, Sojib Shaik, Suresh Kumar Das alias Sagor, Mohd Abdulla Munshi alias Abdul Sarkar, and Mohd Ayub Shaik.
