Karnal, Oct. 7 -- More than a week after an under-construction building collapsed in Dhulkot village of Ambala killing seven workers at the site, the Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) sought detailed reports from the deputy commissioner, superintendent of police (SP) and municipal corporation commissioner.

The incident occurred on September 27 in which six construction workers died at the spot, while another died during treatment. Several workers were injured in the mishap when a portion of the under-construction three-storeyed building collapsed.

Member (judicial) of the HHRC Kuldip Jain was hearing a complaint filed by Amandeep Singh Bhatia, who raised several serious issues concerning the incident before the commission.
