A case has been registered on June 3 against a former authorised administrator of a cooperative housing society and his associate for allegedly siphoning off nearly Rs.32 lakh from the bank account of the residential society located at Karvenagar.

The accused have been identified as Atul Ramesh Mahajan, former administrator and auditor of Neelkamal Cooperative Housing Society; and Shivaji Bhimrao Rathod, his associate. The case was registered by the Alankar police following a complaint filed by the chairman of Neelkamal Society, Makarand Balkrishna Mandke; and society management committee member Vidyagauri Tamhankar.
