India, Aug. 9 -- The water level in the Hindon river rose above the warning mark at the Noida base station on Saturday amid continued rainfall in Gautam Budh Nagar, while the level at the Hindon barrage in Ghaziabad remained below its danger mark, according to data from the irrigation department.

The Noida base station, a separate monitoring point, recorded a water level of 195.73 metres at 4pm, against its warning level of 195 metres and danger level of 196 metres. The level was therefore above the warning mark but remained below the danger level at the time of the reading. The highest flood level recorded at the station is 197.28 metres.
