Shimla, July 7 -- The Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) Rashtrapati Niwas, Shimla, is set to present the history, evolution, and role of the national song "Vande Mataram" in the Indian freedom movement, backed by authentic documents.

After an extensive study, the IIAS, one of India's premier centres of advanced research in the humanities, social sciences and literature, has prepared a coffee-table book titled "Vande Mataram: A Journey". Vice President CP Radhakrishnan will launch the book on July 10, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram'.
