HC seeks UP official's reply over absence of honorific for minister
PRAYAGRAJ, April 4 -- The Allahabad high court has sought an explanation from the additional chief secretary (home), Uttar Pradesh, over not adding the usual honorific "Hon'ble" before the name of a Union minister while mentioning his name in an FIR lodged in Mathura last year.
To be sure, the Union minister is not an accused in the case; the FIR said the main accused used his name to take money from people on the pretext of giving them a job.
Hearing the matter on March 31, a two-judge bench of justices JJ Munir and Tarun Saxena passed the order after hearing a petition filed by one Harshit Sharma and two others, seeking the quashing of an FIR registered against them at the Highway police station in Mathura.
