Chandigarh, June 12 -- Fulfilling a promise made to the Sikh community of Haryana, the chief minister Nayab Singh Saini-led BJP government has included the history of the Sikh Gurus and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur in the Class 8 history curriculum of schools in the state.

"The school students will now learn about the sacrifices, martyrdom, ideals and enduring legacy of the Sikh Gurus as well as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur," the state government said in a statement on Thursday.
