India, June 5 -- The Haryana government has approved a policy allowing direct purchase of private land and property through negotiations for National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) projects, said officials.

The decision extends the land purchase policy notified on January 8 for Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) for projects being executed by the NCRTC and Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC).

The NCRTC is executing the Delhi-Gurugram-Bawal and Delhi Karnal Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) projects and had asked the Haryana government to bring the NCRTC projects under the policy.
