Karnal, Aug. 4 -- The State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered an FIR against five officials of the horticulture department for alleged irregularities and embezzlement of funds since 2007, causing financial loss to the government in the implementation of various schemes.

The case was registered against a former District Horticulture Officer (DHO), three Horticulture Development Officers (HDOs) and an accountant, under sections 120-B, 409, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC at ACB, Ambala on July 29.
