Haridwar, Aug. 22 -- Three persons were killed and six others injured after four motorcycles collided on the Kanwar stretch along the Ganga canal in Haridwar's Kaliyar area on Friday night, police said.

The accident took place on the Kaliyar road, popularly known as the Kanwar Patri in Uttarakhand, amid poor visibility due to darkness and rain, police officers said, adding that the two motorcycles travelling in opposite directions collided head-on, following which two other bikes coming from behind rammed into the vehicles.
