India, Aug. 23 -- Several areas across Gurugram reported power outages lasting up to five hours following heavy rain early Saturday, with residents in several residential and high-rise localities alleging that electricity supply was not restored for hours, while discom officials attributed the disruptions to feeder faults, damaged power lines, broken poles, transformers and trees and branches falling on overhead lines.

Residents of Sushant Lok-1, 2 and 3, sectors 52, 57, 71, 99, 102 and 103, and DLF Phases 1, 2 and 3 reported significant disruptions, along with several other areas under both circles of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVN).
