India, Oct. 18 -- The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is working on a new rule that may change the requirements for employment-based green cards for highly qualified foreign workers, according to a Forbes report.

The rule, which is anticipated to be released in January 2026, would update the classifications for exceptional researchers and academics as well as people with exceptional talent.
