Goyal calls DMK 'anti Hindu'; TN to challenge order
New Delhi/Chennai, Jan. 7 -- Soon after the Madras high court's judgment, Union minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday accused the DMK government in Tamil Nadu of fostering "anti Hindu" sentiment, even as the state government indicated it will appeal against the ruling.
A division bench of the high court upheld a single bench's order allowing the lighting of Karthigai deepam on the Thirupparankundram hill in Madurai.
"This order has clearly lifted the veil of the DMK government, chief minister MK Stalin, his son and deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Congress and all the INDI alliance members," Goyal told reporters in Delhi.
