India, April 4 -- The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) plan to concretise a six-kilometer stretch of the Badshahpur drain, the city's main stormwater outlet from Gadoli to the Najafgarh drain, officials said on Friday.

"HSIIDC will concretise a three-kilometer stretch, while GMDA is formulating a plan to concretise the remaining three kilometers," said Vikram Singh, executive engineer at GMDA.

According to officials, HSIIDC has planned the concretisation in view of its Global City project along the Dwarka Expressway. The corporation has also planned to construct a load-bearing road on the drain, which would be utilised for vehicular tr...
