new delhi, Sept. 9 -- A six-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a man near her residence in south Delhi's Tigri area around two weeks ago, police said on Monday.
The victim, a child of African origin, was targeted by a male suspect also from Africa, who resided in the same building. Police did not disclose the nationality of either of the two.
The incident occurred on August 24-25 when the victim's family filed a formal complaint. A medical examination confirmed the assault. Police have registered an FIR under Section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (outraging modesty) and Section 10 of the POCSO Act. The accused, known to the family, has fled the area. Investigations are ongoing, but no arrests have been made yet.htc
