Gangster carrying rRs.r1.25 lakh bounty killed in encounter in UP's Saharanpur
LUCKNOW, June 22 -- A gangster carrying a reward of Rs.1.25 lakh and wanted in a string of high-profile murders, bank robberies and attacks on police personnel was killed in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh Police in Saharanpur district early on Monday, said Amitabh Yash, additional director general (ADG) (law and order), UP.
He said the gangster Lalan Singh alias Lallan was a native of Anandgolwa village in Bihar's Samastipur district. He sustained bullet injuries during an exchange of fire with a police team on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday on the Sarsawa-Nakur road in Saharanpur district.
