Panchkula, Sept. 21 -- Nearly four months into the new Panchkula municipal corporation (MC), the civic body is yet to get its full institutional structure in place. The newly elected House, which has met only once since its formation, is yet to constitute several key committees. The posts of senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor also remain vacant.

The MC was constituted on May 30, and its first general House meeting was held on June 16. Since then, no other House meeting has been held. Mayor Sham Lal Bansal said another meeting is likely to be convened towards the end of this month.
