Sangrur, Aug. 20 -- A retired assistant civil surgeon, who was forced to buy fresh air tickets after testing positive for Covid-19 during his US trip in January 2022, has won relief from the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Sangrur.
Terming Air India guilty of deficiency in service and unfair trade practices, the commission has directed the airline to issue a complete refund of the $1,370 spent on the San Francisco to Delhi tickets, along with Rs.10,000 for causing mental agony and Rs.10,000 for litigation costs.
