India, Aug. 22 -- India's private sector business activity, as reflected in the Flash Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), posted a record growth in August coming in at 65.2, up from a final reading of 61.1 in July, according to data released by S&P Global on Thursday. This was primarily on account of a surge in sales volume in both manufacturing and services, with services being the better performer.
