India, April 4 -- A fire broke out in a three-storey building in Udyog Vihar Phase 1 on Friday morning and 18 workers trapped inside the building were rescued, police said.
Officials said the fire started at a commercial flour mill and packaging firm in the basement of the building due to a short-circuit and it spread to all upper floors.
Fire department officials said the flames destroyed the rubber and other inflammable items which resulted in dense smoke filling up the basement and ground floor of the building.
