Fight against law to go on, say Muslim bodies
New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- Prominent Muslim bodies, including the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, on Monday hailed the Supreme Court's ruling on the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025, even as the organisations reiterated that their fight to combat the legislation will continue as they expressed hope of receiving justice from the top court.
AIMPLB, one of the petitioners in the case, said that the Supreme Court verdict is "significant" even as the organisation noted that the apex court did not order a stay on some of the controversial provisions.
