India, June 5 -- The 2026 FIFA World Cup is finally here and is set to take place from June 11 to July 19. It will be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The competition will take place in sixteen cities and is also the first World Cup to be co-hosted by three nations. It is also the first World Cup to include 48 teams, up from 32 in previous editions.

Of the 48 qualified teams, Cape Verde, Curacao, Jordan and Uzbekistan are making their World Cup debuts. Meanwhile, Qatar qualified for the first time and will make their second appearance.
