India, Aug. 12 -- A 36-year-old man died and five others were critically injured after the Mahindra Scorpio they were travelling in rammed a roadside tree on the Atali-Korali road in Faridabad on Tuesday, police said.

The deceased was identified as Manish Kumar, 36, a resident of Kheri Kalan. Police said he was seated in the middle row and suffered a fractured neck in the collision, resulting in his death.

The injured were identified as Om Prakash, 35, of Kherki Kalan; Rinku Kumar, 38, and Yogesh Kumar, 37, of Bharat Colony; Sunil, 37, of Mahavatpur; and Ombir, 24, of Korali, all in Faridabad. They were taken to a private hospital in Faridabad and were in critical condition, police said.
