India, April 4 -- An X-ray technician at a community health centre (CHC) in Dadri was removed from duty for allegedly accepting Rs.71,000 in lieu of issuing a forged medical report, officials said on Friday.
In a complaint filed by a local resident and submitted to the health department earlier this week, it was alleged that the technician issued an injury report to an individual who had no visible injuries. The complainant also submitted a video purportedly showing the technician accepting money, following which authorities took cognisance of the matter.
According to officials, the technician has been removed from duty pending investigation, while the role of other staff members is also being examined.
