Patna, Oct. 25 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal's (RJD) candidate from Parbatta, Sanjeev Kumar, has been booked for allegedly issuing threats to a police station house officer (SHO), officials aware of the details said on Friday.
According to the complaint filed by Parbatta SHO Arvind Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, the former Janata Dal (United) legislator who recently quit the party to join the RJD, allegedly issued the threats to the cop through multiple WhatsApp calls for invoking Crime Control Act (CCA) charges against his associate Mithilesh Chaudhary.
Based on the complaint, an FIR was filed under sections 221 (obstructing a public servant in discharge of public functions) and 351 (criminal intimidation among others.
