Expect rain, snowfall on hilly areas in J&K till October 10: MeT
Srinagar, Oct. 7 -- Kashmir witnessed a cloudy day on Tuesday with temperatures going below normal as the meteorological centre in Jammu and Kashmir predicted intermittent rains and light snowfall over mountains till October 10.
Kashmir's Srinagar, Qazigund and Pahalgam recorded very light rains while Katra recorded moderate rain in Jammu. The India Meteorological Department (MeT) said that the maximum day temperature in Srinagar was 24.6degC, some 0.9degC below normal.
The resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir witnessed a maximum of 14.5degC while Pahalgam in south recorded 19degC, both below normal by 2 and 3.4 degrees respectively.
