New Delhi, Feb. 13 -- Dr Sandip Ghosh, the controversial former principal of Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College, gave all contracts of the institution to a cartel of firms owned by two individuals for which he charged 10-15% commission in cash, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has claimed in its charge sheet filed last week, according to officials familiar with the development.
The alleged bribes, worth around Rs.70 lakh in total for contracts worth Rs.6.89 crore, was received in cash and deposited in the bank accounts by showing it as professional fee for providing services at private clinics, the agency has claimed.
Ghosh, according to ED, was associated with four private clinics which he was not supposed to do as his designation in RG ...
