India, Oct. 1 -- A 70-year-old retired IAS officer was found dead at his residence in Surajnagar area of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, with police suspecting that his newly hired caretaker, who is missing, was involved in his murder. According to officials, Rakesh Agarwal was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon and his throat was slit, with police suspecting the involvement of his caretaker Varun Kumar. "Kumar has been missing since the incident and his belongings were also not found in the house," Shailendra Chauhan, additional commissioner of police, Bhopal, said. "Kumar had been hired as a caretaker. His duties included administering medication on time and fetching supplies."htc
