BENGALURU, Oct. 9 -- Karnataka police on Thursday booked expelled BJP leader and Vijayapura City MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and two others for attempting to delete the names of eight genuine living voters during the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, said officers. The Vijayapura case is the ninth FIR registered in the state in connection with allegations surrounding attempts to remove voters during the SIR exercise.
