Ex- Karnataka minister booked in Rs.89-cr Valmiki corp fraud case
BENGALURU, June 3 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed three chargesheets against former Karnataka Scheduled Tribes welfare minister B Nagendra, his close associate Nekkanti Nagaraj and 28 others, alleging that a network of government officials, bankers, contractors and intermediaries diverted public funds worth Rs.89.63 crore through forged transactions, illicit contract awards and a complex web of bank accounts spanning multiple states.
