Encroachment in Muzaffarnagar village: Madrasa committee begins demolition after court order
MEERUT, Aug. 23 -- The management committee of a madrasa in Muzaffarnagar's Phulat village began demolishing a portion of its construction on Sunday after authorities found that the institution had encroached upon 1,200 square metres of gram sabha land.
The madrasa committee brought in a bulldozer and started removing the alleged illegal construction around 2 pm. The demolition continued for over two hours, with around 300 square metres of the structure demolished by the afternoon. Another 900 square metres of construction remains to be removed.
The action concerns Madrasa Darul Uloom Rahimia in Phulat village, where an administrative inquiry found construction on 1,200 square metres of land belonging to the Gram Samaj.
