New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is set to replace its analogue CCTV surveillance network of around 6,000 cameras with an IP-based network, at an estimated cost of Rs.109.6 crore, officials aware of the matter said on Thursday. A majority of CCTV cameras installed across the network, barring those installed in the past two years, use older technology and require an upgrade, officials said. The work is expected to be completed within 12 months of the award of the contract. "The existing analogue CCTV infrastructure is being upgraded to an IP-based system as part of a technology refresh.
