India, Oct. 5 -- DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin has shared an update on a recent car-ramming incident in Broadview, Illinois, accusing Chicago police of "refusing" to assist in securing the area. Federal agents were rammed and boxed in by several cars on Saturday, September 4.

"This morning, during routine patrolling in Broadview, in the same area of Chicago that law enforcement were assaulted yesterday, our brave law enforcement officers were rammed by vehicles and boxed in by 10 cars," McLaughlin wrote on X, adding that one of the drivers who allegedly rammed into the law enforcement vehicle was armed with a semi-automatic weapon.
