Delhi takes out Tiranga yatra in run up to I-Day celebrations
New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- The national capital saw a series of Tiranga yatras on Wednesday as preparations for Independence Day gathered pace, with students, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers and political leaders taking part in marches across the capital.
The main yatra, organised by the Delhi government as part of the Centre's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, began at India Gate and passed through Rafi Marg before culminating at Kartavya Path. Chief minister Rekha Gupta, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin and Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra led the march, which was also attended by Delhi government ministers, young people and other citizens.
