India, May 23 -- The Delhi High Court has pulled up the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) over its Asian Games selection criteria, which limited eligibility to those who secured medals in 2025 and not considering past performances, rendering wrestler Vinesh Phogat ineligible, and its decision to bar her from taking part in domestic events till June 26. "Till 2024... you say anyone of repute will be included or participation in the selection process and it is merely a selection. That circular has a departure. Why?" the bench of chief justice DK Upadhyaya and justice Tejas Karia said. The bench it would pass an order on Phogat's plea on whether she can join the selection trials.P19
